He passed away at the age of 76 on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his home. He was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.Richard retired from the Navy in 1980, after 20 years of faithful service. Charles, Charlie or Poppie as he was affectionately known to his grandchildren passed away peacefully on January 25, 2018 at his home in Houston with loving family by his side. Charlie was born on June 13, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland to William J. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and step-son, David Cromwell.Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, Teagan, Jaxson, Mc Kynzie, Cooper and Barhett Mathews and Landen and Liam Abbe. Roger will receive full military honors from the Conroe 4709 VFW Honor Guard.Roger will be laid to rest on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in their dad’s name.He really enjoyed telling corny jokes and making people laugh.

Ione was raised in South Houston, graduating from Pearland High School where she was their majorette and played the drums.Wendel is also survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as, many dear extended relatives and friends. She was very creative with her hands, over the years, she enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, crocheting and woodworking.
